10 years ago the law provided critical protections for students on the Autism spectrum and has had a significant impact on how school districts meet the needs of students. This is when the IEP was mandated to include the 7 areas to consider if the student has autism. DO NOT let the schools just check the boxes off- ALL relevant deficits then need to be ADDRESSED in the IEP,
