With appropriate services and support, training and information, children and adults with disabilities can grow, learn and flourish, even if at a different developmental rate than others. Mo Buti assists parents with special education support services to navigate the IEP process providing input and recommendations on IEP reviews, assistance with the placement process, input on special education services and strategies, and more. Sharing valuable tools and resources she has learned through her career in special education, Mo provides step-by-step support to navigate the complex IEP review process, even accompanying parents to review meetings. Mo is dedicated to ensuring that all students receive FAPE (free and appropriate education) to reach their maximum potential and become productive members of their families, schools and communities.

IEP Review and Input

Mo will review an IEP or IEP draft or other reports, providing key input to empower you to become better informed so that you can advocate more effectively at your child's IEP meeting to ensure that appropriate educational setting, goals, and accommodations/modifications are included in the document. 

Request a School Observation

Mo will observe your child’s educational environment and their interactions at school and include a written report articulating valuable information that will assist in developing IEPs, behavior plans, and educational programming.

Learn how to carry over what works in school at home. Mo can provide key tools and resources to ensure consistency between home and school to ensure a student is set up for success.

Consult for Adult Agencies 

Mo can provide much needed professional development to DSP staff and supervisors in order to meet the needs of the clients you serve. She can also assist with input on plans to maximize billing, create a more robust day program, person centered planning and provide supports in the CILAs all to improve the quality of life of the clients you serve.

 

Request Participation in an IEP Meeting

With Mo by your side, she will advocate for your child to ensure all relevant information is addressed by the school, the appropriate educational setting is recommended and necessary supports and services are provided.  If you would like Mo to review any reports or IEP drafts ahead of time or have a phone conference to prepare for the meeting there will be an additional charge.

Educational Consult and supports

Mo can provide one-to-one assistance to answer questions for parents and professionals concerning their child's educational rights and specific services. This can take place via phone, email or in person. 

Create Individual Visual Supports

Many students with autism and other disabilities benefit from visual supports including schedules, task lists, labeling the environment and more. Mo can create the necessary visuals required for your child.

Presentation needs

Mo is a dynamic and knowledgeable public speaker on autism and other disabilities traveling the world to present on the subject. Book Mo for your next conference or seminar. Topics include: Autism supports (behavioral, social, sensory, academic, and more), educational supports for those with disabilities, low-tech and high-tech communication systems, IEP development, and much more! 

 

Bundle Special: Observation, report, consult, and attend IEP meeting

Conduct a 1 hour school observation, provide up to a 1 hour phone consult, write up a report, and attend an IEP meeting. 

Bundle Parent Group

IEP inservice for a group of parents. Each parent pays $15.  A minimum of 6 parents.
